OILED ROADS

The Road Badger has a huge advantage over conventional methods for rehabilitating oiled roads. Since the Road Badger does not fracture or damage existing road surface materials, any new materials that would conventionally be required are minimized. Additionally, the Road Badger is able to break up AND mix the road surface in a single pass - greatly reducing completion time and traffic disruptions. Most uses of the Road Badger on Oiled roads to date have not only reduced the amount of additional material, they have eliminated it. This does not only generate economical benefits, but presents many environmental ones as well.

Below is a testimonial to the Road Badger's effectiveness on Oiled Roads:

A Sub-Division road was scheduled to be scarified and windrowed prior to 80 cubic yards of aggregate and 7,200litres of oil being added in order to restore the road to a smooth driving surface. Instead, the Road Badger scarified the road surface at a pre-determined depth of 3inches, reclaiming and re-mixing the existing material without disturbing the sub grade. The Road Badger was able to recover sufficient material to re-grade the road and the County decided that the additional aggregate and oil were no longer required. Instead, the County added a stabilizer and utilized the Road Badger to mix the product into the road surface material. The Road Badger uniformly mixed the material and product together in-place and the road was completed by profiling and then compaction.
